Explore Montana: Hidden Helena
Preserve Montana invites you on a self-guided tour to explore the hidden stories and curious spaces inside more than a dozen of the most beloved historic houses, businesses and civic buildings in Montana's Capital City.
Literally see behind-the-scenes of the Ming Opera House, walk the same halls as cattle baron Conrad Kohrs and his friend Theodore Roosevelt at the Kohrs Mansion, and experience the former Shaw's Best Factory hidden in plain sight along a neighborhood alley. You'll explore these sites and more at your own pace over an afternoon of history, architecture and community.
Please note that several historic buildings on the tour are not accessible to persons with disabilities. Ticket sales will end on October 3 and are only available via online purchase. All proceeds support the protection of Montana’s irreplaceable historic places, traditional landscapes and cultural heritage.
Ticket holders receive $1 off every drink purchase at The Hawthorn and Ten Mile Creek Brewery the day of the event. We encourage you to spend time eating and drinking in downtown Helena during and after the tour in support of Helena's local businesses.

Pints for Preservation
Join us for a drink and help support the Baxendale Schoolhouse rehabilitation. Blackfoot River Brewing Company is graciously hosting Preserve Montana for a Community Monday. One dollar from every beer sold all day on May 20 will benefit the reuse of the schoolhouse as our Preservation Center. Preserve Montana staff will be there with a table and swag in the evening to join the fun.
