Historic Finishes Workshop
Historic finishes are the original or historical coatings and decorative treatments applied to architectural elements like walls, woodwork, and metal. This workshop will teach the types, uses, and applications of historic finishes, with a focus on wood finishes. It will be led by Helena-based woodworker Mary Webb.

Window Restoration Workshop
Restoring windows is one of the most beautiful and lasting acts of preservation. This workshop will teach basic skills for restoring historic wood windows. Scraping paint, minor wood repairs, cutting and replacing glass, glazing, and painting will be included in the hands-on experience. Class size: 8 people.

Join us for a drink and help support the Baxendale Schoolhouse rehabilitation. Blackfoot River Brewing Company is graciously hosting Preserve Montana for a Community Monday. One dollar from every beer sold all day on May 20 will benefit the reuse of the schoolhouse as our Preservation Center. Preserve Montana staff will be there with a table and swag in the evening to join the fun.
